First Eucharist Information Letter
The First Eucharist (First Communion) enrollment sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, January 15 and Wednesday, January 23, 2008. If you wish your child to celebrate First Eucharist this year, you need to attend one of these meetings. Your child will not automatically be enrolled to celebrate the sacrament just because they are registered for Faith Formation or the day school. The meetings will be held in Regan Hall, January 15 and January 23. Registration begins at 6:30 pm. Father speaks between 7 and 8 pm. If your child was not baptized at St. Vincent de Paul Church, here in Brooklyn Park, you will need to bring a copy of your child's baptism certificate (unless one was turned in for First Reconciliation). This certificate will not be returned. Completion of 1st level and First Reconciliation preparation must be done before enrollment.
At these sessions, you will be updating your Eucharistic theological background and purchasing a sacrament book to aid you in instructing your child. You should then turn in the completed book to your child's teacher as soon as it is completed.
First Eucharist is scheduled for April 5 & 6, April 13, April 19 & 20, and April 26 & 27.
