Harvest Festival
Mark your calendars for the 2010 edition of St. Vincent’s annual celebration of summer, the Harvest Festival!
- Saturday, August 14, Noon-10:00 pm (with a break from 4:30-6:00 pm for 5:00 pm Mass).
- Sunday, August 15, Noon-5:00 pm (Chicken Dinner 11:30-2:00 pm; Raffle begins approximately at 4:45 pm)
HARVEST FESTIVAL NEWS
Harvest Festival is TWO WEEKS AWAY! The festival is August 14th and 15th, and we hope you’re planning to join us for all kinds of fun. Don’t forget to return your sweepstakes tickets; they can be returned to church after all Masses.
We still need your help. It takes a lot of people to make the festival happen. Please volunteer to work a shift at the festival. Sign-up will continue after all Masses and is NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE (www.saintvdp.org).
iPAD RAFFLE!!! Starting this week, you can purchase a chance to win an iPad. We’ll be selling chances to win this year’s hot new gadget after all Masses. The cost is $5 for a chance to win, BUT we’re only selling 400 tickets, so make sure to get your ticket before they’re all gone! The drawing will take place at the festival.
We’re always welcoming new committee members to help in the planning and coordination of the festival (and to learn how we do it for future years). Please contact Adam Phenow at 763-561-0248 for information on our next meeting.
We are still in need of donations for the Harvest Festival. These can be dropped off after all Masses and, during the week, in the parish office. Please make sure the donations are new.
We need:
- 2-liter bottles of pop (pop toss) and bottles of any sort (bottle mania). These are for kids’ games, so NON-ALCOHOLIC.
- Family Prize Bingo: toys, books, games, board games, yard games; small/medium-sized prizes For Mom & Dad: tools, movies, candles, etc.
- Silent Auction Donations (especially baskets with a theme – be creative!)
St. Vincent's Got Talent will take place Saturday, August 14th from 2 pm-4 pm to kick off a weekend of great entertainment during our Harvest Festival! We are expecting parishioners with ALL KINDS OF TALENTS to perform for the chance to be the winner of a nice ca$h prize.
- Two finalists will be chosen from each of the two categories and at 3:30, the finalists will perform their act in its entirety.
- A grand prize winner will be chosen for each age category after the final performances and announced around 4 pm.
Only a few spots remain, so if you’d like to share your talents, sign up before it’s too late!
We are excited about this talent show because we know St. Vincent's Got Talent!! We have a full schedule of talented performers, come watch your fellow parishioners sing, play an instrument, dance, juggle, do magic tricks, do sports tricks, yo-yo tricks, impersonations, or share other hidden talents!! In addition to the exciting features you’ve heard about this year’s Harvest Festival on August 14th (Noon-10 pm) and 
August 15th (Noon-4:30) – like the Main Sweepstakes Drawing, TV Raffle, iPad Raffle, St. Vincent’s Got Talent – there will be lots of other Harvest Festival favorites that you won’t want to miss: Bingo, Inflatables, Games, Live Music, Pull-Tabs, Great Food outside, Petting Zoo, Chicken Dinner (on Sunday), Mini-Golf, the Silent Auction and More . . . See you there!!!
