First Eucharist at St. Vincent's Parish
The policy of St. Vincent de Paul Parish regarding First Eucharist consists of a two-fold program. First, parents are to participate in a meeting in the Spring in which parents study and discuss the Sacrament of The Eucharist. They are then expected to impart the information they have received to their child.
Second, children are to attend classes through the Religious Education Program or St. Vincent's School. Preparation for Reconciliation will be provided in January, with an opportunity given to celebrate the Sacrament of The Eucharist in the Spring.
If any parents feel their child is not ready to celebrate the sacrament at this time, the parents have the option to wait, but it will then be the parents' responsibility to have the child celebrate when ready.
