Hello, I'm Kathleen O'Hara. I am a native of the Southwest Side of Chicago. I graduated from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota. My Masters and Education Specialist degrees are from the University of St. Thomas. I have been privileged to teach in every grade, Kindergarten through eighth grade and I loved them ALL! St. Vincent de Paul students, parents and teachers are the BEST!

My early years as an educator were spent in Detroit and Chicago and I joined the staff at St.Vincent's in 1980 as the "one and only" third grade teacher. Although my title is assistant pricipal now, I still remain a "teacher at heart". I received my undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Hamline University. Being a lover of nature, I enjoy any activity that gets me outdoors be it gardening or golfing. My husband, Robert and I enjoy travel, especially trips to San Diego to visit our daughter, Nichole. It is a pleasure working with our wonderful students and parents in such a faith filled community.

Hello, My name is Janice (Jan) Endris. I am the school administrative assistant/secretary, registrar, bookkeeper, etc. I have been employed at St. Vincent's since 1988. Dick and I have 4 children, Richard (married to Ann Maslow), Todd (married to Andrea Peterson) Doriann, and Sarah. We also have a Malaysian daughter Harprit Kaur. We have 6 grandchildren, Theresa, Veronica, John Joseph, Katie, Patrick and Amelia Lea. I graduated from Professional Business Institute in 1967 as a MAR (Medical Assistant/Receptionist) and became a (NFPP) Natural Family Planning Practitioner in 1977 and taught for 19 years. We have been parishioners of St. Alphonsus since 1969. All our children graduated from St. Al's.

My name is Claudia Chalmers. I began teaching at St. Vincent de Paul School in 1986. I teach 7th and 8th grade English and spelling, 7th grade English and spelling, and 7th and 8th grade art. I'm a native Minnesotan; homegrown in Willmar. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, and immediately married my high school sweetheart, Gordy. We have two sons, ages 22 and 23 who attended St. Vincents when they were young. My youngest is serving in the U.S. Army and my eldest is married and living nearby. We live here in Maple Grove, and attend St. Vincent de Paul Church. My husband and I both sing in Jubilation! choir, and enjoy camping. I am an avid sewing button collector.

Hello! I'm Susie Griffith. This is my 10th year teaching and 3rd year at St. Vincent de Paul. I really enjoy teaching the sixth graders. I received my B.S. from The University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I currently reside in Coon Rapids with my husband, Gary and three beautiful children Naomi, Belinda, and Brooke who keep us on the run. In the little spare time I do encounter, I like to workout (exercise), spend time with family and friends, scrapbook, and watch and play sports. Go Chiefs.

Hi. My name is Fran Brooks. My family and I have been members of St. Vincent de Paul Church since 1984. I have been teaching 4th Grade at St. Vincent's since 2002. I grew up in Nutley, New Jersey. After graduating from Nutley High School I went to Trenton State Teachers College (now College of New Jersey at Trenton), and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. My certification was for Pre-K-through Grade 8. My graduate work was done at Seton Hall University where I earned my Masters Degree in School Social Work.
In 1984, my husband Paul, and our two sons, Paulie and Peter, and I moved to Maple Grove, Minnesota. Six weeks later our third son, Vinnie, was born.

Hello, I'm Mike Wavrin. This is my first year at St. Vincent's. I am originally from New Ulm. My wife Kris and I have been married for 24 years. We spent 7 of those years in Sauk Centre, where I taught at Holy Family School. After the birth of our sons, Matthew and Jacob, we moved to Little Falls where I taught for two years at St. Mary's School. In 1989 we spread our wings and flew to Sofia, Bulgaria. Kris and I taught there for 4 years and then for another 8 years at the American School of Warsaw in Poland. For the past two years I taught in Oakton, Virginia. Matt is now in the Air Force, and Jacob recently graduated from high school. It's good to be back "home". We are currently learning how to speak proper "Minnesotan" once again.

Hello, I am Brenna McDowell, and I have been teaching at St. Vincent de Paul School since 2004. I graduated from Cretin-Derham Hall in Saint Paul, and later attended the College of St. Catherine. There I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree from St. Mary's University in Education with an emphasis on Catholic School Education. I currently serve as the secretary on the Board for the Cretin-Derham Hall Alumni/ae Association. My husband Todd and I currently live in Northeast Minneapolis. We have one son, Sullivan (Sully), and are expecting another in April, 2008. We love to golf, cook, and entertain friends and family at our home. I have been working with children for more than 15 years, and look forward to many more.

Hola, I was born in Colombia, South America, but was raised in the United States. My first language is Spanish, but I communicate effectively in both languages. I received my Bachelors Degree from St. Cloud State University and have taught Spanish ( Espanol ) for many years. I have two grown children and one grandson who is nine years old. I have lived in Champlin for fifteen years and I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, antiques,garage sales, art, design, and music. I love to teach because I thoroughly enjoy the " gleam " in students eyes when they are excited about learning something new, the phrase that comes to mind is " joy of learning " !

Hello, I am Kathy Ryan. I have been teaching Music to the wonderful students of SVDP since the fall of 1998. I went to college at Bemidji State University; I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree to teach Vocal Music K - 12. Here at St. Vincent's I also teach Literature Circles to students in 2nd & 3rd grade. I enjoy getting to know the students thru our reading groups. My husband John and I have 3 daughters, Colleen an elementary school teacher and new husband Austin attending Medical School at the U of M - Twin Cities; Sarah, a Sophomore at U of M - Morris majoring in Elementary Education; and Kayla, an 11th grader at Maple Grove Senior High School. All three girls have been involved in choirs . We are all involved with the Music Ministry here At St. Vincent’s. John, Kayla & I sing with the group "Resound". In my 'spare time' I enjoy knitting, cross-stitching, playing piano, computer games, biking, spending time with my family, and reading.

Hello, I'm Jean Landman. I have been St. Vincent's computer teacher since 2000, and the network administrator since 1999. I have a Bachelors of Computer Science degree from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology. I have over 20 years in the computer field. Previously I worked as an engineer for Honeywell, then when my kids were born I became an independent computer consultant. This gave me a lot of flexibility for my family. My husband, Kevin, and I have two sons; Sean & Eric. Sean is a Sophmore at St. John's University, and Eric is a Junior at Totino-Grace High School. I love teaching computer class, the kids here are wonderful!

I joined the staff of St. Vincent de Paul School in August 2006. Our daughter Abby is currently in fourth grade. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in History and Theater, I worked as an administrative assistant in the education and training arenas for 16 years. I am now enrolled in the ARCH program, a collaboration between the Archdiocese and the College of St. Catherine, through which I will earn my teaching certificate in the summer of 2008. I finally know what I want to be when I grow up...a Catholic school teacher!

Hello, I'm Kathy Frazer. I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. I am married to Jay, and have four children - Kristen (married to Jeremy McAloon), Jeremy, Joel and Katie. I have twin grandchildren- Paige and Alex. I have been a member of St. Vincent's Parish for 27 years and am in my eighth year as a teacher aide at St. Vincent's School. All of my children graduated from St. Vincent's.
