St. Vincent de Paul World Youth Day
Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser

How Flocking Works
You can flock a friend for a donation of only $20.
Upon receipt of your order form and donation, a small group of teens and adults will secretly place a flock of flamingos in the requested friend’s front yard from Monday — Friday (flamingos rest on weekends). Birds and signs will be delivered during the hours of 8am-8pm on the day requested (depending upon the availability of the flock), and will remain in the yard for no more than 48 hours. A notice will be attached explaining the removal policy and how to order the flamingos to be “forwarded”. Sorry, our birds may not migrate outside of a 15 mile radius from St. Vincent de Paul, or be placed onto public property or at apartment complexes!
How Flamingos Are Removed
The Flamingos will be removed from their “landing site” by a small group of teens and adults within 48 hours of placement for $10. Or an additional $10 can get the Flamingos forwarded on to the next friend. Requests can be made by filling out the Flocking Order form, or by emailing the flamingo hotline at flamingos@saintvdp.org . Please make checks payable to St. Vincent de Paul. Attach your check or cash to the Flocking Order Form, which will be picked up with the flamingos. Or mail order form and check to: St. Vincent de Paul Attn: Flamingo Flocking 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
Flocking is done in good spirits and is not meant to be malicious. Also, to make this fundraiser successful, we must have willing participants. If a person is angry, flock removal will not require payment. The Flamingos are precious property to us and we want to keep them in our possession so all can enjoy. If you have any questions, email the flamingo hotline at flamingos@saintvdp.org or go to our website at www.saintvdp.org/youth-ministry/flamingos
What is World Youth Day?

World Youth Day is when our Holy Father, Pope Benedict, brings the youth of the Church together to worship, pray, and to experience a greater understanding of the universal Church. Youth from almost every country in the world and speaking almost every language come together to share their different cultures and lives and ultimately their one and the same Catholic Faith. These young people gather to celebrate Mass with the Pope whom they love, their Church and their God the Creator and Savior of all. St. Vincent de Paul will be bringing 19 teens and adults to the next World Youth Day which will be held in Madrid, Spain in August 2011.
