Our Outreach ministry provides support to those in need in our Community. A key component of our Outreach Ministry is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting people where they are, in their time of need. If you are in need of help, looking for a way to help, or would like to make a donation to support our Outreach Ministry, please contact the Parish office.
Through this ministry we provide access to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter dinners for those in need. Requests are approved by the Outreach staff.
Feed My Starving Children: Through this ministry groups of parishioners volunteer to package food for children around the world. Watch the bulletin each month for information on how to sign up.
Sharing and Caring Hands: Parishioners prepare and serve a meal at Sharing and Caring Hands in downtown Minneapolis the second Wednesday of each month.
Basic Institute for Zonal African Advancement (BIZAA) is a faith-based initiative focused on empowering the youngest citizens of Africa through a grass roots effort to eliminate Child Labor. BIZAA serves as the liaison organization for our parish "International Outreach" to the Nigerian victims of child labor. While this program is being championed by our parish youth through a set solidarity-based curriculum, interested adults participate in annual mission trips to Nigeria.
Our Parish supports CEAP Food Shelf in March and Zanewood Elementary School in November through food drives.
Our Parish collects school supplies to support children in need. Our primary focus is Zanewood Elementary School, which is in our community. When supplies allow, we distribute to other schools in need outside of our community.
The Giving Tree is dedicated to fulfilling the holiday wishes of children and adults who would otherwise go without gifts. Parishioners purchase and distribute to needy families and nursing home residents in our community.
Through this ministry we provide financial assistance for those in need. Each request will be approved by the Outreach Ministry Staff. Appointments are required.
